The RRC board, West Central Railway (WCR) has released a major recruitment notification for 2865 Apprentice vacancies in various trades. The main Railway Jobs Recruitment Cell (RRC), West Central Railway has announced a total of 2,865 vacancies. Out of these posts, 1,150 vacancies are available for the UR. For candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, there are 433 vacancies available, and for the ST category aspirants, there are 215 vacancies available.
The OBC categories have 778 posts or vacancies, while the EWS category has been given 289 posts or vacancies. Apart from these, special reservations have also been made. Out of the total posts, 101 seats have been specially kept for PwBD aspirants. Along with this, 85 posts are reserved for Ex-Servicemen.
Eligibility Creteria For WCR Recruitment 2025
For the age limit, a candidate must be at least 15 years old and not more than 24 years. There are relaxations in age for some categories. Example, aspirants from SC categories and ST categories aspirants receive 5 years extra, those aspirants from the OBC category receive 3 years extra, and there is also no any more relaxation for PwBD aspirants.
Education qualification, the eligible and qualified candidates should have cleared the Class 10th examination with a minimum of 50% marks. Also, candidates should possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the same trade. This certificate must be issued by NCVT or SCVT.
Selection Process For WCR Recruitment 2025
The good news is that there will be no written exam or interview for these vacancies. The selection will be completed only on merit basis. The selection list will be made based on the marks scored in the Class 10th exams along with the performance in the ITI trade course. In case two candidates have the same marks, then the one who is older in age will be given preference.
Once the merit list is issued, the shortlisted aspirants will be called for Document Verification to check their documents. After that, they will also have to go to the Medical Examination to check that they are fit for the posts.
